My 2010 New Years Resolutions!
Welcome to my new blog! This blog is NOT part of my New Years Resolutions, I just figured its time I started one. I don't know why. I also don't know why anyone would want to read this but if you are, I hope you get some sort of amusement out of it. Without further ado, here are my resolutions for 2010:
1. Do a minimum of 1,000 push ups a week.
Yep, that's 1,000 more push ups than I'm doing right now. Getting fit is one of my top priorities for the year. I'm not in bad shape by any means but I've really slacked off and haven't really done anything in terms of exercise for the past couple of months. Doing a 1,000 push ups a week should get me back on track to conditioning by body or at the very least force me to set time aside for exercise. Hopefully after a few months I'll be doing much more. We'll see if I can keep it up.
2. Summit Mt. Shasta in 2010
This mountain is a beast! I tried to summit Mt. Shasta in the summer of 2000. I didn't come close to making it to the top and its been calling my name ever since. I was in pretty bad shape at the time though. I remember ever breat above about 10,000 or 11,000 was a struggle. Last summer though I didn't have any shortness of breath doing Borah Peak or the Middle Teton so I think its time to attempt Shasta again.
3. Summit the Grand Teton in 2010
Living in Rexburg, I see the top of the Grand Teton several times a week. I was going to climb it last August/September but the weather didn't cooperate the week I was going to climb it. It's pretty much been killing me ever since.
4. Go on at least one date a week (Optional)
I'm writing optional on this one just to make myself feel better for not really completing it. It's a nice thought but lets be honest, its just not going to happen :) I'm not really the kind of guy that just asks every other girl out. I usually wait until I'm really interested in someone (which is more often than you might think). But its not the first date thats the problem. It's getting the second!
